Project: Development and Implementation of Integrated Creative Marketing Campaigns for a Non-profit Educational Organization called Project Appleseed. The following is Joe Sullivan's summary of his project.

Project Appleseed is an existing University City-based not-for-profit organization with a national appeal, working to recruit parents to take on a greater role in the educational success of their children. Working directly with the president of Project Appleseed, Kevin Walker, the goal of my project was both to raise awareness for the organization and to call parents to action. With a business background in Marketing and a creative background in Advertising Design, I applied my skills to execute a "guerilla marketing" campaign for Project Appleseed. The idea was to create marketing communications in an integrated campaign, through the use of inexpensive and non-traditional media. Included in the campaign are a thirty-second internet spot (commercial) to be used as an attachment to the Project Appleseed newsletter and a point of purchase display at Schnucks grocery stores. The point of purchase display (similar to a cardboard stand carrying weekly specials, etc.) is to carry "Parental Involvement in a Can" (this can is to contain the parental involvement pledge, which upon signing, parents commit 15 minutes of reading a day and 5 hours of school volunteering a semester to their child). Potential campaign extensions are in currently being developed in other forms as well. I look forward to working with Mr. Walker and Project Appleseed on their marketing communications into the future.
